Story Structures

When writing or developing a story, a detailed plan must be taken into account.
A plan is highly important to the development, and the process in producing a successful narrative story, that is well constructed, organised, and showcased.

The traits of a poorly planned story are easily noticed, such traits include sudden major plot changes, characters changing, bad timing, and the lack of a basic general overall structure.

To plan a story, you need to first start with what theme you want it to be about. After gathering this, you need to develop the characters, as well as the style of how you will be writing. Bullet points or brainstorming can be used at this point to aid in the planning.

A story is generally broken up into 3 different parts.
This is the beginning, middle and end.
The beginning is almost like an introduction to the story, whereas the middle is where the story reaches its peak. The end is almost in some way, like a summary, and bringing the literature to a close.

I have written short stories before, so I have a basic understanding of how the creation of a story can be executed.

This weblink offers amazing, and helpful advice, in how to properly plan, and assemble a story.
