Drew Millward

The other day the illustration class had a visit from the artist, Drew Millward. Drew is an illustrator who has produced very abstract work for such clients as bands, one of the bands being Phish.

His style is very unique, it's different to what I've seen from most artists, and his prints are very bright and vivid, I was very impressed by them all.

In the image above, he stated that he took inspiration from the famous wood block piece, entitled 'The great wave off Kanagawa' by Hokusi.

Really enjoyed his talk as well, very interesting as he discussed his upbringing as well as how he evolved his style.

Thomas.
