Sir Quentin blake is a british illustrator, who is well known for his illustrations in Roald Dahl's The witches, as well as many other books by the same author.

He was born in Kent, and began drawing at a very young age, and illustrated a lot of his old school's magazines, as well as some of his early work being featured in a magazine called 'punch'. He studied art at Chelsea Art school, as a part time student. He did not study at this institute to become an illustrator, but he did study there to learn more about art itself.
